Settings

The workspace Settings page shows a summary of the workspace, lets owners and admins rename it, and lets the owner delete it.

A workspace is the team space that holds your domains, members, plan and connections. The workspace Settings page shows a summary of the workspace and lets you rename or delete it.

Before you start

  • To open the page, click your avatar at the top right. In the Workspace section, click the settings icon next to the workspace name. The page opens with the Workspace Settings sidebar.
  • Every role can open the page. Only owners and admins can rename the workspace. Only the owner can delete it.
  • Each workspace has its own plan, members, Google accounts, API keys and API credits.

What a workspace contains

A workspace contains:

  • Domains: the sites that you monitor.
  • Members: the people with access, each with a role. See Members.
  • Plan: the subscription and its limits. See Billing.
  • Integrations: Google accounts, Slack channels and webhooks. See Integrations.
  • API credits and the Data access log. See API credits and Data access log.

Use more than one workspace when clients or teams need separate invoices, separate members or separate plans.

Workspace summary card

The top card of the workspace Settings page shows the workspace avatar, the workspace name and your role (Owner, Admin or Member). Below the name, it shows the plan name, the price and the creation date. An example is "Starter plan · $39 a month · Since Jan 5, 2026".

Only the owner sees the price. If our team set up your plan, the price shows as Free for you.

Summary cells

Below the name, the workspace summary card has a row of cells. Click a cell to open its page. The Domains cell opens the Dashboard.

CellWhat it shows
DomainsHow many domains you use and the plan limit, for example "3 of 5", with a usage bar. The bar turns amber at 75% of the limit.
MembersHow many people have access, with their avatars.
API creditsThe credits left, for example "4,200 left", and the date the credits refill.
GoogleConnected, Needs reconnecting or Not connected, with the email of the first Google account. Only owners and admins see this cell.
Renews onThe next renewal date and Billed monthly or Billed yearly. Only the owner of a paid workspace sees this cell. On a plan that our team set up, the label is Runs until.

If a figure cannot load, the cell shows Not available.

Rename the workspace

Owners and admins can change the workspace name. The name shows in the workspace switcher and in emails.

  1. In Workspace name, enter the new name.
  2. Click Save name. To undo your change, click Cancel.

The message Workspace name saved confirms the change. If the field is empty, the page shows Give the workspace a name.

Switch workspaces

If you belong to more than one workspace, you can switch between them in two places:

  • Click your avatar at the top right. In the Workspace section, click the name of the workspace.
  • On a settings page, open the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar. Then click the workspace.

When you switch on a workspace settings page, the app opens the same page for the new workspace. The Dashboard always shows the domains of all your workspaces. See Dashboard.

Create another workspace

  1. Click your avatar at the top right.
  2. Click Create workspace.
  3. Follow the steps to name the workspace and select a plan.

You can also click Create workspace in the workspace switcher of the settings sidebar. Each account can have one free workspace. If you already have one, the Free plan shows "Your free workspace is already claimed." For the full steps, see Create a workspace.

Delete the workspace

Only the owner sees the Danger zone card. The card says "Permanently delete this workspace and everything in it."

Deleting a workspace is permanent. VitalSentinel erases all domains, all monitoring data, all members and the connected Google accounts. It also erases the API keys, the API credit usage, the data access log, and the Slack channels and webhooks.

  1. Click Delete workspace.
  2. Read the list of data that VitalSentinel erases.
  3. Type the workspace name to confirm.
  4. Click Delete workspace.

The message Workspace deleted confirms the deletion, and the Dashboard opens.

Why workspace deletion is blocked

If the workspace has an active subscription or a failed payment, you cannot delete it. The Danger zone card shows "This workspace has an active subscription. Cancel the subscription before deleting the workspace." The Delete workspace button is not available.

  1. Click Open billing.
  2. Click Cancel subscription and confirm. See Billing.
  3. When the Billing page shows the status Canceled, come back and delete the workspace.

Troubleshooting

Why can I not change the workspace name?

If you are a member, the Workspace name field does not show. Ask an owner or admin to rename the workspace.

Why do I not see the Danger zone card?

Only the workspace owner can delete a workspace. If you are an admin or a member, ask the owner. The owner can also transfer ownership to you on the Members page.

Why does the page say Workspace not found?

The page shows Workspace not found and "You don't have access to this workspace" when the workspace was deleted or you are not a member. Click Back to dashboard.
