Create a workspace
Create a VitalSentinel workspace, give it a name, choose a plan in the plan table and pay for a paid plan through Stripe.
A workspace holds your domains, your team members and your billing. Each workspace has its own plan. This page explains the Create your workspace page, where you name a new workspace and choose its plan.
Before you start
You do not need this page for your first workspace. VitalSentinel makes a Free workspace for you when you register. See Create an account.
Use the Create your workspace page when you want another workspace, for example one for each client, with its own team and invoices. You also see this page if you have no workspace at all, for example after you leave the only workspace that you were in.
Invited users join the workspace that invited them. They do not see this page, unless they want to make a workspace of their own.
Open the page
Use one of these ways:
- Open the user menu at the top right and click Create workspace.
- In the sidebar, open the workspace switcher and click Create workspace.
The page has the title Create your workspace and the line "Give it a name and pick a plan. You can change both later." It shows outside the normal app layout, with the VitalSentinel logo at the top. To leave the page without a new workspace, click Exit setup.
Workspace name
The Workspace name field has a name in it already: your first name followed by "Workspace", or a random name. Type a new name to replace it. Your team sees this name. You can rename the workspace at any time in the workspace settings. See Workspace settings.
The name can have up to 255 characters. If the field is empty, it shows "Enter a name for your workspace."
Choose a plan
The card How many sites will you watch? has one card for each plan. Its subtitle is "Every plan has every module." The plans are different in the number of domains and in the size of the limits.
Each plan card shows:
- The plan name.
- The number of sites, for example Just one site or Up to 25 sites.
- The price and the period, for example "a month".
- A chip on some cards. Most teams start here marks a popular paid plan. Already claimed marks the Free plan if you already have a Free workspace.
If yearly billing is available, a Monthly and Yearly switch shows at the top of the card. The Yearly option can show a chip with the saving. With yearly billing, the card shows the price for a year and the price for one month. A plan without a yearly option shows "a month · no annual option".
If you need more sites than the largest plan has, click Contact us under the plan cards.
Which plan is selected first
- If you have no Free workspace, the Free plan is selected.
- If you already have a Free workspace, the cheapest paid plan is selected. The Free card shows "Your free workspace is already claimed." You can have only one Free workspace.
Plan prices and domains
| Plan | Price (USD per month) | Domains | RUM page views per month | Web Analytics events per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 25K | 100K |
| Starter | $39 | 3 | 100K | 500K |
| Lite | $129 | 5 | 250K | 5M |
| Standard | $249 | 25 | 2M | 25M |
| Advanced | $449 | 50 | 5M | 50M |
All other limits depend on your plan. See Plans and limits or the pricing page.
What each plan includes
The card What each plan includes compares every limit, plan by plan. The column of the selected plan has a tint. To see the rows that are hidden, turn on Show all limits.
The table has these groups of rows:
- Coverage: Domains.
- RUM Monitoring and Web Analytics: RUM page views / mo, Web Analytics events / mo and CrUX URLs.
- Server Log Monitoring: Module included, Log hits / mo and Sources. Sources is Worker only or All sources. Every plan can use a Cloudflare Worker. Plans with all sources can also use SFTP, FTPS, cloud storage or a file upload.
- Search: Indexing properties and URL-prefix properties.
- Site Health Monitoring: how often one page is checked, pages checked, known pages and pinned pages per domain, and Extra checks after site changes.
- Page Monitoring: Watched pages, Check intervals, Custom elements per page and Page change history.
- History kept for each kind of data.
- Synthetic and Uptime Monitoring: Uptime check intervals, Synthetic test URLs, Synthetic test intervals and Test locations.
- Alerts: Slack and webhook alerts. Email and in-app alerts are on every plan.
- API and MCP: Credits / mo and API keys.

Troubleshooting
What does "Your workspace is still being set up" mean?
The payment is complete, but the workspace is not ready yet. The page shows Payment received and "Your subscription is active." The workspace shows on your dashboard within a few minutes. If it does not, click Contact support.
What happens if I cancel the checkout?
The page shows Checkout canceled and "No charge was made. You can pick a plan whenever you are ready." Click View plans to try again, or Go to dashboard.
Why can I not select the Free plan?
You already have a Free workspace. Each account can have only one. Select a paid plan, or add the domain to your Free workspace.
What does "Failed to load packages" mean?
VitalSentinel could not load the plans. Click Try again. If the problem continues, contact support.
