# VitalSentinel tab

The **VitalSentinel** tab is in the **Your site** group of the popup sidebar. It shows a summary of the data that VitalSentinel has for the page that you have open. The other reports also show this data in the sections where it belongs.

## Before you start [#before-you-start]

- Sign in to the extension. See [Sign in](/browser-extension/sign-in).
- The site must be a domain in one of the workspaces that you selected when you signed in.
- Offline mode must be off.

## What the tab shows [#what-the-tab-shows]

The tab shows one of these screens:

| Situation | What the tab shows |
|-----------|--------------------|
| You are not signed in | The VitalSentinel modules, **Start monitoring free** and **Sign in with VitalSentinel** |
| You are signed in, but your workspaces do not monitor the site | "is not monitored in VitalSentinel", with a button to add the domain |
| You are signed in and the site is monitored | The summary of the page for the last 90 days |

### A site that is not monitored [#a-site-that-is-not-monitored]

The title says that the host is not monitored in VitalSentinel. Click **Add** with the host name to open the app. The app opens the add-domain flow with the host filled in. See [Add a domain](/getting-started/domain-setup/add-domain).

If you signed in with the wrong account, click **Sign out** next to "Wrong account?".

### A monitored site [#a-monitored-site]

The line below the title shows the host and the path of the page, and when VitalSentinel made the data. Click **Refresh** to load new data from the app. Click **Open in app** to open the domain in the app.

The summary has a tile for each kind of data:

| Tile | Values | Link |
|------|--------|------|
| **Google Search Console** | Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position | **Queries** opens the **Content** report |
| **Google index** | Status, last crawled by Google and last checked | **Indexability** opens the **Indexability** report |
| **CrUX data** | LCP, INP and CLS for phones and desktops, with ratings | **Performance** opens the **Performance** report |
| **Web Analytics** | Page views, visitors, visits, bounce rate, views per visit and time per visit | **Open in app** opens Web Analytics in the app |

The values cover the last 90 days. If VitalSentinel has no data for the exact page, a tile can show the data of the whole domain.

A tile shows a message instead of values when there is no data. For example, "Not set up for this domain yet." means that the module is not set up for the domain. If the app took too long, click **Try again** in the tile.

The tab shows only the tiles that your sign-in can read. If the tab says "Some data needs more access", sign out and sign in again.

For the full history and the other modules, open the app. See [Google Search Console](/google-search-console/overview), [Indexing Monitoring](/indexing-monitoring/overview), [CrUX Monitoring](/crux-monitoring/overview) and [Web Analytics](/web-analytics/overview).

## Watch this page [#watch-this-page]

**Watch this page** adds the current page to [Page Monitoring](/page-monitoring/overview) of its domain. VitalSentinel then checks the page on a schedule and tells you when its title, canonical, indexing, redirects or content changes. The button is on the VitalSentinel tab and on the [Overview report](/browser-extension/overview-report).

1. Open the page that you want to watch.
2. Open the popup and click **VitalSentinel** in the sidebar.
3. Click **Watch this page**.

The chip **Watched** shows next to the button. The page is now in the list of watched pages in the app. See [Pages](/page-monitoring/pages).

The extension sends the address without the part after `#` and without tracking parameters such as `utm_source` and `gclid`.

If you did not verify the ownership of the domain, VitalSentinel does not add the page, and the message "The request did not go through. Try again." shows. [Verify the domain](/getting-started/domain-setup/verify-ownership) in the app first, then click **Watch this page** again.

### Stop watching a page [#stop-watching-a-page]

1. Open the page.
2. Open the popup and click **VitalSentinel** in the sidebar.
3. Click **Stop watching**.

VitalSentinel stops the checks of the page. To stop watching a page in the app, see [Stop watching a page](/page-monitoring/pages#stop-watching-a-page).

### Who can watch pages [#who-can-watch-pages]

Only workspace owners and admins can add or remove watched pages. For a member, the button is disabled.

Each watched page counts toward the watched-page limit of your plan. If the workspace has no watched pages left, the extension shows "Watched-page limit reached". See [Plans and limits](/workspace/plans-and-limits).

If you stop watching a page in the app, the extension can show **Watched** for up to one hour. Click **Refresh** to load the current state.
